Does the prize cover the Master’s/Postgraduate Tuition in full?

The corresponding prize (100% for Master’s Degrees and 50% for Postgraduates) is only applied to the Tuition Fee. The winner will have to satisfy the amount corresponding to the Enrolment Fee within the fixed period. Before entering the contest, we recommend to check the fees on this link.

We recommend you to keep this indication in mind, given that if you were to be the winner there will be an amount to be paid within a specific deadline.

What’s the deadline to send my project?

Deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2019 at 23:59 (GMT+1). However, we would recommend not to wait until the very last day in case any problem should arise when uploading your documents. In the event that your project is submitted past the deadline, it will be discarded.

Can I apply for more than one course?

No, the scholarship contest for Master’s Degrees and Postgraduate programs only allows to apply once and for one course per call. Before applying, you should decide which is your course of interest. In order to be informed about the contents and admission requirements of each course, you can check IED Barcelona website.

Besides, make sure that you are entering the contest for the course you are interested in. In the event that you were to select a different course, even by mistake, your project will be assessed in accordance with the criteria established for the Master’s or Postgraduate reflected on your application.

Can I get assistance from anyone at IED Barcelona during the preparation of my project?

No, the project has to be an individual idea, developed completely by the participant.


Can anyone from any nationality participate in the contest?

Yes, the contest is open to students from any nationality.


Can the scholarship contest be declared void?

Should the Assessment Committee consider that none of the applications for a particular course meets the required criteria or standard of work to be awarded, the scholarship for said course will be declared void and, therefore, there will be no winner.


In what language should the documents be submitted?

The projects and all the documents are to be written in the language in the working language of your course of choice. Applications not meeting this requirement will not be considered, due to non-compliance with the contest’s legal terms and conditions.

Can I submit a project that I have already done before?

Yes, as long as the project is the outcome of your own personal, intellectual and original work and that no forgery or plagiarism is committed, and has not been submitted for other IED scholarship contests. Should the submitted project be a previous creation, it has to be adapted to the topic of the contest and cannot be a work that has already been executed or completely developed.

Can I submit a project I made with other people or with a team?

No, all the projects have to be made personally by the participant, without the collaboration of other parties, nor violating any third-party intellectual property rights, whether registered or not, such as copyright, trademarks and patents, contracts, customs or traditions.

I cannot upload the files on the contest site, what should I do?

If the system does not allow you to upload the files, this is because you are not meeting the requirements. In this case, you should check:

-          File size (cannot exceed the size indicated on the website)

-          File extension (the format has to be as indicated on the website)

-          File name (cannot contain spaces, non-recognizable characters such as accents, or particular letters from certain languages such as ‘ñ’)


A file called “Proyecto de diseño de interiores”, must be “Proyecto_de_diseno_interiores.pdf”

Can I upload a video?

You cannot upload a video on the platform, but you can upload it on a different platform and then copy and paste the link to it in your project. In this case, a video is always welcome as support material.

Can I send the documents in a different way other than the website or email them to someone?

No. All projects and documents have to be submitted through the website Check file size and format before sending them.

How do I know if my project has been submitted correctly?

Once you have submitted your project, you will receive a confirmation email.


When will the results be published?

All participants will be contacted individually with the result of their participation between May 13th and 25th 2019. The summary of the winning projects will be published on the website

If I win a scholarship, what is the next step?

If you win a scholarship, you will be contacted via email by an IED representative, informing you about the result. Once you are contacted, you have to reply within the following 3 (three) natural days, confirming your acceptance of the scholarship. If you fail to do so, the scholarship will be considered rejected.

To benefit from the scholarship, and after accepting it, you will have 21 (twenty one) natural days from the day of the result communication to complete the enrolment for the Master’s or Postgraduate for which the scholarship has been awarded. The enrolment involves, in any case, the payment of the Enrolment Fee.

We advise you to check the content, dates and fees of the course you are applying for, before participating in the contest.

What is the criteria of the Assessment Committee to evaluate the projects?

The Assessment Committee will value the projects taking into account:

-          Innovation: the project has to present an innovative idea, that matches the topic and instructions given for the particular course you have chosen.

-          Development: the more developed the concept and its application are, the better rating the project will have..

-          Presentation: A clear, concise and structured presentation will receive a better rating.
