Can I apply for more than one course?

No, the scholarship contest only allows to apply for one course. Before applying, you should decide which course is of your interest. In order to be informed about the contents and admission requirements of each course, you can check IED Barcelona website.

Can I get assistance from anyone at IED Barcelona during the preparation of my project?

No, the project has to be an individual idea, developed completely by the participant.

Can anyone from any nationality participate in the contest?

Yes, the contest is open to people from any nationality.

In what language should the documents be submitted?

The projects and all the documents are to be written in the language in which your chosen course is imparted.

Can I submit a project that I have already done before?

Yes, as long as the project is the outcome of your own personal, intellectual and original work and that no forgery or plagiarism is committed. You must ensure that your project does not breach the law or public order and morals, does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights, whether registered or not, such as copyright, trademarks and patents, does not violate any third-party rights, contracts, customs or traditions. 

The project has to be adapted to the topic of the contest and cannot be a work that has already been executed or completely developed.


Can I submit a project I made with other people or with a team?

No, all the projects have to be made personally by the participant, without the collaboration of other parties.


I cannot upload the files on the contest site, what should I do?

If the system does not allow you to upload the files, this is because you are not meeting the requirements. In this case, you should check:

-        File size (cannot excede the size indicated on the website)

-        File extensión (the format has to be as indicated on the website)

-        File name (cannot contain spaces, non-recognizable characters such as accents, or particular letters from certain languages such as ‘ñ’)

 Example:

A file called “Proyecto de diseño de interiores”, must be “Proyecto_de_diseno_interiores.pdf”


Can I upload a video?

You cannot upload a video on the platform, but you can upload it on a different platform and then copy and paste the link to it in your project. In this case, a video is always welcome as a supportive material.


Can I send the documents in a different way other than the website?

No, all thes projects have to be submitted through the website http://becasmaster.iedbarcelona.es. Check the size and format of the files before sending them.

How do I know if my project has been submitted correctly?

Once you have submitted your project, you will receive a confirmation email.

When will the results be published?

The participants will be contacted individually with the result of their participation between April 23rd and May 11th 2018. The winning projects will be published on the website http://becasmaster.iedbarcelona.es on June 1st 2018.


If I win a scholarship, what is the next step?

If you win a scholarship, you will be contacted via email or telephone by an IED representative, informing you about the result. Once you are contacted, you have to reply within the following three days, confirming that you accept the scholarship. If you fail to do so, the scholarship will be considered rejected.

If you are the winner, once you accept the scholarship, you will have 21 days from the day of the result communication to complete the enrolment for the Master or Postgraduate for which the scholarship has been awarded. The enrolment involves, in any case, the payment of the enrolment fee.

We advise you to check the content, dates and fees of the course you are applying for, before participating in the contest. 


What is the criteria of the Selection Committee to evaluate the projects?

The Selection Committee will value the projects taking into account:

-        Innovation: The Project has to be an innovative idea, that matches the topic and instructions given for the particular course you have chosen.

-        Development: Developed, exhaustive and structured projects will be more valued.

-        Presentation: A clear, concise and ordered presentation will be more valued.
